Happiness, for me, isn't just a destination, it's a journey filled with passion, intuition, and an unwavering love for life's adventures. The ocean, with its ever-changing nature and endless mysteries, serves as my constant source of inspiration. Its adaptability, persistence, and sheer power never cease to amaze me. There's something profoundly liberating about surrendering to its rhythm, allowing myself to flow like water, unconstrained, unrestricted, and endlessly free.

But it wasn't always this way. There was a time when I was consumed by the pursuit of perfection, losing sight of my true self in the process. It took a moment of awakening, a realization that imperfection is not something to be ashamed of but celebrated. That's what started me on a journey of self-discovery and when I turned to designing and wearing seashell-based jewellery - to serve as a reminder of my own imperfect nature, but one that I've learned to cherish.

In a world obsessed with erasing personal blemishes of any kind, I've come to understand that true beauty lies in authenticity, where light and dark collide. And so, Sippi was born as a celebration of individuality, an acknowledgment of imperfection and a beacon of self-expression. It's not just jewellery; it's an idea, a celebration of genuineness and a commitment to preserving our oceans for generations to come


Sippi means seashell in Sinhala, a name inspired by the life of the ocean and the exceptional wild souls who are drawn to it, reflecting both our Sri Lankan roots and deep connection to the sea.

Our jewellery is a handcrafted expression of the ocean, made using responsibly sourced materials, including seashells, sea glass, sterling silver, and cultured pearls. Each piece is brought to life in collaboration with skilled artisans across Sri Lanka,  the pearl of the Indian Ocean , who have partnered with us to share their heritage and preserve a craft that’s been passed down through generations.

Every design is unique, shaped by nature, and made in limited numbers to honour both the environment and the beauty of individuality.

At the heart of SIPPI are our signature seashell designs, one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate the extraordinary. Alongside these, our artisans also craft silver-only and ocean-inspired designs featuring carefully selected gemstones.

Uniqueness at the Core

People often strive to right their imperfections, rather than accepting them, whereas our philosophy is to create pieces of jewellery that embrace those tiny blemishes and asymmetries, lending them character and distinction.

Seashells stand for resilience and determination as well as peace and tranquillity, as they come from the depth of the ocean. Once upon a time they were a protective outer layer of another being, abandoning that role and persisting to the present day, leaving behind a reminder of how wondrous our world is.
